Online baby shopping is a necessary and sometimes fun process when welcoming a newborn into the world. But what are some necessary purchases to make? Bigger items like baby cribs and baby strollers are definitely on the list, and so are smaller, less thought of items such as blankets and diaper bags.
We could make an extensive list with every little thing you might need, but let’s focus on the essentials. We’ve narrowed the typical list down to the major purchases. The following are four categories you need to consider when going online baby shopping.
Clothes
Deciding what clothes to get, and how many pieces, depends on where you live. If you live in Florida, there’s no need to buy any kind of harsh winter clothing. However, if you’re from up north, you’ll need to invest in these essentials to keep your newborn safe from the elements. Here are a few items on our checklist:
- 7 undershirts or onesies
- 3 nightgowns
- 7 one-piece stretchy sleepers
- 7 pairs of pants
- 7 pairs of socks or booties, to wear with nightgowns and outfits
- 2 cardigans or jackets, more in winter
Cribs
Cribs are extremely important to consider as they are a major purchase for any family welcoming a newborn.
